A transnational initiative that strengthens solidarity, leadership, and community autonomy between rural areas in southern Jalisco and migrant communities in the United States, through art, popular education, and collective memory.
OUR VISION
Pueblos en Movimiento seeks to strengthen leadership, solidarity and opportunities in communities at risk of displacement by creating transnational networks and bridges between migrants, activists, artists, universities and rural communities.
We aspire to be guided by the knowledge that communities possess thanks to their own experiences.
We believe that rural communities have the right to decide their own future and to lead a dignified life in their territories of origin.
We believe that justice cannot stop at the border wall.
We believe that extractive systems must be held accountable.
